Isis Olivia was born in Tanzania in 1967 and has been living in southern France since 1995. Her painting is largely figurative and the nude has always been central to her work.

Isis is a founding member of the artist's association 'Filature du Pont de Fer' which organises cultural and artistic events in the Gard, Languedoc-Roussillon. Isis Olivier has long been associated with figurative drawing and a recent commission to illustrate a collection of love poems gave form to her current group of works.
